1. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

The restaurant is named after David “Crockett” Maples, who was an American hero who served as a private and corporal in the 9th Tennessee Cavalry during the mid-1860s. After completing his military service, Crockett and his wife began serving hungry travelers from a small supply store at the base of Mount LeConte. The quality of the food and service quickly became famous in the Smokies, and now you can sample some of their breakfast dishes, such as Old Fashioned Cinnamon Candied Apple Waffles, Big Tennessee French Toast and Hungry Hunters Huntcamp Skillets! While at the restaurant, be sure to stop by the wooden statue of David “Crockett” Maples out front to see the man who made his mark in the Smoky Mountains more than 150 years ago!

2. Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que

One of the last places you might expect to find an amazing breakfast is at a barbeque joint, but Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que has the best all-you-can-eat breakfast bar in the Smokies! The buffet includes just about every type of breakfast food imaginable, including a Belgian waffle bar, eggs, sausage, bacon, French Toast, home fries, grits and much more! Bennett’s Pit Bar-B-Que also offers a traditional breakfast menu where you can order omelets, pancakes and country biscuits with gravy. The restaurant first opened its doors in Pigeon Forge in 1991 and has grown over the years to multiple brands and locations, including the Gatlinburg location just steps from Summit Manor!
